Client Portal

The Client Portal is where your accounting, legal, or payroll clients go to see their own documents, invoices and quotes, and anything waiting for their signature — without needing a full ac-co.ai account of their own.

Key concepts

• No password to manage — clients sign in with a magic link emailed to them, or a one-time code sent to their email address, instead of creating and remembering a password.
• Scoped access — a client only ever sees their own documents, invoices, quotes, and signature requests, for the organization(s) that gave them access — never anyone else's.
• Preview as client — if something looks wrong in what a client sees, your firm's staff can preview the portal exactly as that client would see it, from the admin side.

How do I…

…sign in to the portal?

Follow the magic link from an email your firm sent you, or go to the portal's sign-in page and request a one-time code by email — enter the code and you're in. Either way, no separate password is needed.

…view my documents?

Once signed in, your documents are listed in the portal's document area — only the ones your firm has shared with you.

…accept or decline a quote?

Open the quote from the portal and use the accept or decline action — your firm is notified of your decision immediately.

…pay an invoice?

Open an outstanding invoice from the portal and use the pay action to settle it online.

…sign something waiting for my signature?

If your firm has sent you a document to sign, it appears in the portal with a link into the signing flow — you don't need a separate account with the signing product.

…see updates on my legal matter?

If your firm has made a matter visible to you, its shared documents and updates appear in the portal — only what's been explicitly shared, not your firm's full internal file.

…my magic link expired or I can't sign in

Request a new one-time code from the sign-in page, or ask your firm to resend a fresh link.
